The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Japanese Americans on Sisal Plantation in Hawaii, ca. 1915. Japanese emigrated to Hawaii and the American west coast from 1885 until 1907, when the United States and Japanese 'Gentleman's Agreement,' effectively ended Japanese immigration.
