This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

Artist's Description
Lola is a little dog who was rescued from a cage at a puppy mill. At first she didn't even know how to use her legs, because of how she had been confined. Now she is thriving in a loving home.
This art was created ON the computer but not BY the computer. I drew and colored each shape using Adobe Illustrator. No filters were involved.
About Kris Hackleman
Kris Hackleman graduated from Marshall University with a masters degree in art in 1984. Since then she has built up a large portfolio of editorial illustration, portraiture, and wildlife art. She has used various mediums, but in the last 10 years has come to love creating images on the computer. Lately she has turned her attention to dogs, and to the human-animal bond. There are more dogs and other creatures to come, and what else? For one thing, she has a series drawn from the farmers market in the works. Stay tuned...
