The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This is an original watercolor on Arches 140lb paper. This painting (original) has been sold, and so have two prints. Many more prints still available!!

I'm a watercolor artist and creative writer living in New England. I am self-taught, although I come from a family of South Texas artists. My graduate degree is in creative writing, which I feel is an extension of my art. My work these days are mostly florals but some contain the flavor of the southwest that I adore, while others are seascapes from coastal Maine. From time-to-time I also paint portraits -- mostly of my children and family members whom I know well, but I can handle the occasional stranger in a pinch. I work solely in watercolor, sometimes using Russian watercolors purchased for me by my brother when he was visiting Russia. I always use Arches paper, strong vibrant paints and good brushes. The tools are the key.
