Thank you Uwe. Your photographs are very nice.

Hi Anne, very interessting paintings, I love it. Uwe

Thank you Andrea! Your portraits are first-rate in their execution and beauty. Carl Leick designed most of the lighthouses on the West Coast of the United States. His work, "shines on".

Wow Anne! You're lighthouses are awesome! And the background is wonderful too. I enjoyed the story with it.... great motto by the architect.

Many thanks for your nice review of my art. Your on-line gallery is excellent.

Great Americana feel to your work and you're a master of geometric shapes softened by the landscapes and colors. Contrasting colors and mixing warm and cools add to the effect.

Thanks Randall. Lighthouses are incredible works of art, history, form and function.

Thank you, Linda.

Very, very, greattttttttttttttttttttttttttt

Artist's Description

The Point Wilson Lighthouse is at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, Washington. This is the second lighthouse to be located at Fort Worden and went on duty in 1913. This structure was designed by the German architect, Carl W. Leick for the U.S. Light Service. Herr Leick's motto was, "I build them beautiful, and build them to last." Indeed. This work has a blistering amount of toil in it. It is original art. The gallery offers this work as signed, numbered, and authenticated Giclee canvas, and archival quality fine paper prints.

About Anne Norskog

Anne Norskog

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...
