Artist's Description
Painting of Joe Brown of Yamhill County behind his old John Deere walk behind plow and his two Percheron Draft Horses. Every year a group of Draft Horse enthusiast get together at Champoeg State Park and hold a plowing contests. The last pass of the plow leaves a dead furrow as shown in the painting. The field will later be smoothed and planted all with horses doing the work.

Born in Idaho, Carl currently lives in Salem, Oregon. Carl is mainly a self taught artist but has taken advantage of attending workshops and classes to sharpen his skills.
