Artist's Description

This is a spoof of "The Storyteller" fountain in Birmingham, Alabama. The real fountain was commissioned by the Birmingham Art Association to a local artist named Frank Fleming. The fountain has been the source of controversy and rumors in Birmingham's suburbia since it's creation in the 1980s due to the "Ram Man" figure. Some believe this figure resembles the classic depiction of Satan, and suburban legends ran rampid throughout the years that satanic rituals took place at this fountain. The artist only intended the figures to represent harmony amoung all creatures great and small; So, in my fountain, I turned the tables. The humans and animals learn what it's like to be on the other side of the fountain.

Later, a gift of acrylics and canvases from her husband led her to her first painting on canvas. ...
