Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

The Appleton Cabinet. From, Hitchcock, Edward. 'Ichnology of New England. A Report on the Sandstone of the Connecticut Valley, especially its Fossil Footmarks'. Boston: William White, 1858. The book describes a collection of fossil footmarks assembled between 1836 and 1865 by the geologist Edward Hitchcock (1793–1864). He was state geologist of Massachusetts, USA, and President of Amherst College. By 1875 this collection consisted of 21, 773 tracks representing 120 species: the world's largest collection of dinosaur tracks, (Hitchcock believed he was finding the tracks of giant birds). In 1855, the collection was located in the lower level of Appleton Cabinet on the Amherst College campus. A sign visible here describes them as Nature's heiroglyphics". In the year this book was published Joseph Leidy discovered the first evidence of bipedal dinosaurs, and the tracks were re-assessed."
