Nineteenth century cartographer traveled the United States and Canada producing hand drawn, panoramic and 'bird's-eye' maps of cities and landmarks. Lithograph companies in Chicago and Boston mass produced the hand drawn maps for sale to citizens and businesses. For growing cities in the west, such as Waco, Texas, such a map served as a promotional piece to attract prospective residents.

By 1873 Waco, Texas, played a prominent role in Texas life--a leading city in business and education. The city's recently completed suspension bridge provided the first bridge crossing of the Brazos River. Waco boasted a religiously diverse population for the era. The title inset features Waco's iconic suspension bridge.

This map, drawn by H. Brosius, is the perfect addition to a home or business proud of its Texas heritage.

Please note, this is a copy of a vintage map. It bears the marks of almost 125 years of use, adding to the vintage feel of the map.
