Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Jean-Martin Charcot (1825-1893) was a French neurologist who is considered to be the founder of modern neurology. He qualified as a doctor in 1853, and by 1860 (upper left age 35) he had the title professeur agrege. By 1863 (upper right age 38) he was a senior physician at the Salpetriere hospital, Paris, founding its famous neurological clinic (1882). From 1866 (centre left age 41) he gave annual lectures on neurological diseases. By 1872 (centre right age 47) he had begun studying hysteria, and was a professor at the University of Paris, where he was appointed to the first chair of neurology (1882). Aged 51 in 1876 (lower left) and 55 in 1880 (lower right), he died aged 68.
