Anne Norskog replied:

Thank you, Joe. Actually, it is a painting.

Thank you Tamara! :-D

Thank you, Cher! I painted this from a photograph my friend, Beverlee gave me after her last trip to Ireland. She and her family make it over there quite often...I have asked to stow away with them their next trip. ;-D

This is beautiful, Songs! I have a photograph of this very spot that a friend took for me. Thank you for you comment on my Pansies photo. So happy you like it. :)

Happy Holidays to you Angelina! Thanks for dropping by. :-)

Thank you for visiting my gallery and your sweet comment! Happy Holidays!

Thank you, Kevin. Some day, the Good Lord willing, I will get to see this in person, too. In the meanwhile, I will have to content myself with being an arm chair travelor. The Discovery Channel and PBS both have wonderful programs on travel in Ireland, Europe, etc. I hardly ever miss Rick Steves' program. He, his wife, and their children are always on the go filming and interviewing.

I've stood in front of many of these types of scenes, they are everywhere in Ireland. This is quite lovely and verdant.

Thank you, Deborah. I enjoyed going through your on-line gallery!

You have a wonderful sense of composition! Terrific arches, Anne. And thanks for the comments on my portraits. Deborah

Thank you, Tammy. Old ruins are a favorite of mine. They have such history attached.

Oh fantastic!

Thank you, Ellen, for your kind words. Always appreciated.

Your artwork is so intriging, It has such feeling and imagination. I really likethis one and the Lighthouse in the storm.

Artist's Description

This digital painting of an old ruined church in Ireland remains one of my favorites. Ivy takes over in no time. The ruins show five arches, if one cares to count them. Every piece of art in my gallery is original, not scanned, not a photograph. Using only the computer mouse, I draw every line, add every bit of shading, highlights, blending, and refining to finish a piece. All of the art is started in Microsoft Paintbrush. The finishing process is done with in Photoshop Elements. Every piece is printed using only the finest of professional materials available, by a professional printing house. Rigorous quality control is employed to guarantee a satisfactory work of fine art. Fine canvas giclee and museum-quality signed, numbered and authenticated prints are available from the gallery.

About Anne Norskog

Anne Norskog

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...
