Ernie, Thanks for taking time to stop by and comment on the pups. Glad they brought a good feeling for you. You already know how much I admire your work, and this one is such a powerful, shining example.

Oi mate, only you can do that kind of painting of power.. no words really.. you say it all...love, Margot

very good amigo Cheers

Ernie, this is such a thought provoking piece! A friend on a "Rez" in northern Ontario once said to me, "Life on the reservation, is like living in a glass box. Everyone looking in and us unable to escape!" I hadn't even thought about that conversation of 35 yrs ago until I saw this piece. I've lost track of her for about 15 yrs, I really have this urge to talk to her again. Thanks Ernie, for the memories and the works.

hi, Charles. thank so much for your words! I have a whole story/document that goes along with this one. In part it reads; ''....... I feel the smoothness of this wall, I imagine words vibrating thru, warbling in from the great beyond. What do they say?, do they see me stuck in here?.... how come it is soooo smooth?...''

this piece is so evocative of suppressed striving and all the artistic composition games are used brilliantly to maximize this emotive projection. A powerful piece that has just the lightest touch of humor in my mind from the association of the hands position with those of a mime actor feeling their way along a non-existant glass wall.

Hi Ernie I love your work. This painting is one of my favorites but I really like them all. You really are singing with your design and paintings!your spirit is strong and coming through!! Bravo!! and congrats Heather

Artist's Description

'The Rez'' this is what I witnessed on the Rez, 250 ml. Thunder bird, Garden Delux.... more to come I am sure, made for us, brought to us, sold to us, sold our inheritance, our land, our lives, people scattered along route 66, every rez has a route 66 or a Star Route that leads away from the Rez, dreams scattered along these roads, bodies scattered here \'bouts.....

Ernie Scott- Dust Rising Studios

''The art created in my studio, my bedroom, fits my likes. I am often told that I have a unique perspective to draw upon to create great works; art, music or said better with more attitude; ''MAS MUSICA!" and the written. Prose, perplex'ion and piety not withstanding.. or not, I have endeavored to hone these paintbrush scarred hands, (heh heh), and have beaten my sword into said plow shear, with stood the brash harsh winters of critiques, welcomed them as brothers among the them of us who choose to call our stolen techniques of application, or applicable techniques or appli'niques.....and created what we deem to be original, even as we know there is nothing new under the sun, we turn often to one another to say what is what...
