Vincent Cherib

Vincent Cherib is an artist photographer who was born in France in 1969 and who lives in Rennes (Brittany). Since january 2007, his artwork has been exhibited both in the United Kingdom and in different places in France. Cherib’s work is influenced by painters like Chagall, Klee and Hundertwasser, as well as more contemporary artists like Banksy and Daniel Johnston. A series of photographic works entitled “Disaster Recovery” which were shot in abandoned warehouses and closed factories, demonstrate how Cherib is seeking to revive lifeless and dying sites by giving the images a painterly quality.
