Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Human blood cells. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of two red blood cells (erythrocytes, red) a platelet (thrombocyte, yellow) and three white blood cells (leucocytes, orange). Red blood cells are disc-shaped and contain haemoglobin, a chemical that combines reversibly with oxygen, which allows them to transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues. Platelets are produced in the bone marrow, and are involved in the process of blood clotting. White blood cells are involved in the human immune system response. Lymphocytes (orange), at type of leucocyte, recognise foreign antigens and destroy invaders. Magnification x3750 at 6x7cm size.
