I captured this vintage 1952 Chevy Bel Air in front of historical Lemp Brewery in St. Louis, MO.
I used HDR technique to capture this image.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) uses a digital process of combining the color and tone of multiple exposures to generate an enhanced composite image. The artist has control over the intensity of the effect, allowing for a great deal of creative license in achieving the desired results.
My current passion is an alternative photographic process called Polaroid transfers. Each transfer is hand-made by the photographer using specific materials and equipment to achieve a desired effect. A transparency is projected on to professional Polaroid print film and as development begins, the print and chemicals are prematurely separated. The image is transferred on to dampened watercolor paper for a unique image which has a dated, artistic photo-painting appearance. Exposure, pressure, time, paper and other variables make each print an original mono-print. When I clicked on this picture to open, I expected a classic, refurbished, candy apple red or some such color, Chevy. This old and weathered Bel Air is a refreshing encounter. It still runs, too! VF
