A Mighty Grace

This I can see from this scared place.
In my kayak floating above their space.
The whales gather with their mighty grace.
From depths below as dark as space.
They have come to feed upon this place.
Their massive forms contain a dancers grace.
Their leaps so near they spray my face.
Reveal to me their mighty grace.
And music too in dark depths below.
Contain a wisdom we will never know.
Their oil was of great value to man.
Oil for machines and light upon the land.
Now man has oil and light for his place.
To do whales harm now is mans disgrace.
Let us not render the sea as empty as space.
Let us all treasure their mighty grace.
