�Seth F. Weaver,Sr. 05/01/12. This is a mixed media painting on canvas. I did this for a recent art competition. It is one of my favorite Frederic Remington paintings �The Stampede by Lightning� (1908). In his great impressionist way he tells the visual story of a lightning bolt in a thunderstorm that cause a herd of longhorns to start running. A lone rider at the point tries to turn the herd and stop it. I WEAVERized Remington�s work by doing this in acrylic,gouache, and sand on a stretched canvas. He�s probably real mad at me right now.
