Lovely card
A year after the deadly 2011 Japanese tsunami washed millions of tons of debris out to sea, items started appearing on Oregon beaches. This 66-foot concrete and metal dock floated ashore at Agate Beach along the central coast. The 165-ton dock was one of four that broke loose from the port of Misawa in the tsunami.

Woops, after googling I'm realizing this is Agate Beach in Oregon! I was referring to the Agate Beach in Trinidad, Cali. So so amazing.
Kristina Rinell replied:
easy mistake, same name seem to appear at least once in every state :-))
Inge Riis McDonald
very interesting Kristina - we still find things up here along the west coast - went to a very remote beach and it was full of plastic bottles etc with Japanese writing on it.
Kristina Rinell replied:
Thanks, Inge ... haven't seen much here lately but we found all sorts of things for a while :-)
Michele Hancock
Oh my Kristina, nice capture. This is just incredible. I have walked Agate Beach for hours picking up agates of course. I haven't been there for a while. We used to camp at Patricks Point.

Thanks, Michele :-)
