Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I love this print! Her dress is so pretty and victorian and I can daydream that this is me in another lifetime , contemplating life while visiting the sea

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Artist's Description
Located at the southern entrance to Fitzhugh Sound, Addenbrooke Island lightstation marks the major shipping channel for cruise ships and commercial vessels seeking to avoid the rough waters of Hecate Strait. It is close to major tourist destinations at Rivers Inlet and Hakai Pass, popular commercial fishing areas. It is the only location in Fitzhugh Sound where local marine weather observations are taken.
Addenbrooke lighthouse, known today as Addenbroke Island Lightstation, is situated on the west end of Addenbroke Island in Fitz Hugh Sound. It was established in 1914 on the British Columbia coast to help and aid ship through the treacherous coastline.
W.A. Guthro and his wife Edith were the first lightkeepers of Addenbrooke, and turned the light on in May 1914 for the first time. As time went on there were to be many more lightkeepers of Addenbrooke. There was Mr. F. Smith and his wife who took over in August 1918 and then Mrs. Smith continued on looking after the lightsta...
About Robert Bales
I am a retired teacher, coach, and athletic director. While my wife, Judy, and I were teaching she had a photo studio, and I had a dark room where I did black and white and color. Some were for the studio while most of it was just a hobby. When we retired in 2000, we sold our house in Eastern Washington and moved onto our boat, Last Class, and our motorhome. We sold Last Class a few years ago and bought a small house in Yuma, Arizona and bought another one in Emmett Idaho. Now we spend the summers in Emmett and the winters in Yuma. Over our 50 years of marriage, we have always had an interest in photography and both of us enjoy taking the photos for this site. I have always used Cannon cameras and now I am using the 7D for most of the...
