The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description

After the War measures 16\"x20\" rendered with acrylic on stretched canvas with a high gloss finish. This painting will need a frame before it can be hung. The one-winged angel in the painting stands on the battleground after the war between heaven and hell. I painted this painting thinking about our soldiers in the middle east who will come home from war one day with wounds of the spirit that may never properly heal.

Richard OBrien

I was born in Camden, NJ in the 1960s, served in US Army during the big 80s, and after that I attended Rutgers University where I studied English literature. Throughout my life I have always found a way to express myself creatively be it drawing, painting or writing. Abstract art for me projects the landscape and snapshots of memory and consciousness, two parts of a greater whole which is the spirit or soul. I believe that the physical world is only the surface of things. My paintings come from a place within me, unfiltered by stimuli manufactured in the physical world. As a self-taught artist, I have found that non-representational work suits me best. Of course, certain forms find their way into my art as these objects/forms...
