Cliff Spohn replied:

Thanks Chris, glad you enjoyed it!!!

Thank you Christopher for featuring AHTA DEE in the 1000 views group!!

Thank you for your work! Similar to Thorin below, I've spent a lot of time admiring your work for Atari. You've done for games what Drew Struzan has done for film and I couldn't be more grateful. I have co-workers that feel the same way, something for which you're at least partly to blame, as we're all game developers. I can hardly imagine a game that would live up to your artwork. It would be amazing if you could post more of your Atari work for purchase in print. Take my money! Thanks Cliff!

Cliff Spohn replied:

It was all my pleasure, Jim, and thank you for the compliment, I am glad you and your coworkers enjoyed the work!!!

Thank you Rebecca, I'm glad you like it!!!!

Wow! Congrats!

Thank you Paddy for the nice compliment, diverse, yes, interesting, I don't know ;-). and onward? Fursure!!

For a self seem amazingly diverse and interesting. Onward!

I'm a big fan of your work on all the Atari packaging from the 80's. It's really gratifying to get the opportunity to let you know how influential your work has been. For instance, I'm sure that it contributed to my interest in the design field, a profession I've worked in for the past 20 years now. So thanks very much for those great images! Kudos.

Cliff Spohn replied:

Thank you Thorin for the wonderful acknowledgement and the praise, its a great feeling knowing that something I did, had in some ways, some influence in someones life. Sorry for such a delay in responding to your comments...

Thank you very much Kenal for the great compliment, I really appreciate it. I wanted to create, as Usha said, a burst of energy showing all the games coming out atcha.....

Thank you very much Usha for your comment and compliment, I just noticed that I hadn't thanked you, sometimes it seems to take me awhile to get back to people....

Wow, this is spectacular. The color direction and contrast, it is beautiful.

There is this radiating burst of energy in this artwork. Amazing.

Artist's Description

Was the last painting I did for Atari games, so I made it a subtle self portrait, me as the game (chess) controller. I did continue with the home computers manuals and product information for awhile, but they went pretty much in house and then disappeared.....
