Alvin Francis 'Creepy Karpis' Karpowic (left) and Arthur R. 'Doc' Barker mugshots (right). The two Barker Gang members were suspected of kidnapped Edward G. Bremer. Karpowic was personally arrested by FBI Director Hoover in May 1936. Karpowic is played by Giovanni Ribisi in the 2009 film, PUBLIC ENEMIES.
