A an oil, mixed media montage of Amelia Earhart at 40. Commemorates the famous aviatrix' fateful last flight over the Pacific in 1937. Includes her signature, one of her earlier aircraft, her at microphones after one of her record breaking exploits as the first woman aviator.
About Chuck Hamrick
A native of Memphis, TN, figurative artist, painter, designer and illustrator, Chuck Hamrick, continues to enjoy a life-long love of drawing and painting the human experience. Completing his undergraduate studies as a Fine Arts major at Baylor University in 1963, followed by a brief interim of studio work in Houston, he received a BFA with Honors on a full scholarship from the Art Center College of Design at Los Angeles in 1967. His early professional career was spent in Detroit and Chicago studios. He began freelancing in 1969, moving his family to Weston, CT in 1977 to be near his New York clients.
