This yellow 1932 Ford 'Five Window' Coupe was captured by me in Des Moines, Iowa at the Goodguys Car Show in 2007. It is a replica of the famous car used in the 1973 Universal film "American Graffiti".
American Graffiti is a 1973 coming of age film directed and co-written by George Lucas. Stars include Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat, Harrison Ford, Charles Martin Smith, Cindy Williams, Candy Clark, Mackenzie Phillips, Wolfman Jack and Suzanne Somers. Set in 1962 Modesto, California, the film is a study of the cruising and rock and roll cultures popular among the post�World War II baby boom generation. The film is told in a series of vignettes, telling the story of a group of teenagers and their adventures in one night.

As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Though most of my work comes from close to home I have also captured quite a few images in other parts of the US from my travels.
