Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Ammeter and recorder. Historical illustration of an ammeter, recorder and shunt from the Chauvin and Arnoux company, founded in Paris, France in 1893. An ammeter is used to measure electrical current, which is measured in amperes (amps). An ammeter shunt is used to help measure currents too large to be measured by the available ammeter. A voltmeter connected across the shunt can be calibrated to give the current reading, traced on the rotating cylinder. Artwork from 'Electricite' (1911) by Max de Nansouty, part of the 'Les merveilles de la science' series of 1867-1891 by Louis Figuier.
