Old whaling boat "Mary D. Hume" built in 1881, in Gold Beach Oregon, and on the National Register of Historic Places, is shown slowly sinking into the confluence of the Rouge River and the Pacific Ocean. Photo taken at Gold Beach Oregon. She was 97.6 feet long, and 158 tons, 22.8 feet wide, and 10 feet deep.

Pacific Northwest artist/teacher/author, Carl E.Capps is an award winning Sculptor and Pastelist concentrating mainly on Landscapes and Wildlife Sculpture. Born in Idaho, Carl currently lives in Salem, Oregon. Carl is mainly a self taught artist but has taken advantage of attending workshops and classes to sharpen his skills.
