Description

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I have always been fond of the way of life that the Amish continue to carry on through so many generations. It is a simpler way of life and yet much more difficult than modern day farmers. The work is much harder when it is done by hand and without the convenience of today's technology and equipment. This farm is in central Wisconsin where a number of Amish communities have sprung up over recent years. In fact, Wisconsin's Amish population is the fourth largest in North America. Since it is frowned upon by the people to have their photos taken, I had to take one of the horses, barn and machinery alone and create the painting with the family in it from my memories of seeing them working in the fields, their beautiful gardens or their various shops and stores. The children begin helping with small tasks at a very early age and continue to contribute more as they grow. To see the little children all dressed in the same attire as the adults is so charming. Having lived in both states, it has given me very diverse subject matter as is evident in the variety of art pieces I have posted here.
