Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You†to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

been drawing and painting since the age of four, tho only in last few years have sought to making a living at it.... am a romantic realist, working mostly in pen/ink, color pencil, and acrylic for picture window sized murals.... subject matters run from still life thru landscape, with occasional nude figures included.... my works are a reflection of my philosophy of Objectivism, and use metaphoric relations as means of showing possibilities of human flourishing... thus call myself a themescapist... most the views are from my head, tho of course inspired by the world around me, and the many books read over the years [for am an avid reader, having a library of some 5,000 or so on all manner of subjects].... aside from the murals,...

Okay, this artist is as good as it gets when it comes to wit! Smart art is hard to find, and A.R. Malcom has done it! Great work so far, and very good messages. rh

...Actually, understand Pollock all too well - and despise him for his cowardice of art... -and i say ¨Envy is the clearest proof of an accute inferiority complex¨ ...as for this work, was a simple lark, a black humor take-off from a terrific film, Ratatouille... -and I say "cartoon films from the early 21st century are not comparable in medium, intent or historical relevance to Post war, modernist painting of the 20th century. -And your drawing lacks the material and visual robustness of an enamel painting on canvas, no matter how well you have executed your desired imagery. Mr. Malcom please keep on drawing, you have every right too, but don't be a hater.

Actually, understand Pollock all too well - and despise him for his cowardice of art... at best his configurations serve as rug designs, but fine art they are not, any more than gibberish is literature... as for this work, was a simple lark, a black humor take-off from a terrific film, Ratatouille...

Looks Pollocky to me!

Yeah Ron, but it is funny. And pretty darn good. Who are we if we can't poke a little fun at our elders? Pollack himself was rejecting Tom Benton, among others and he famously said "F___ Picasso!".

Robert: Very Jackson"ish" indeed! Like yours just as much! Thanks for your comments on "Spools" (:-))
