The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Aortic aneurysm. Coloured X-ray of the chest of a 68-year-old woman with an aortic aneurysm. An aneurysm is a swelling of an artery where the wall has weakened, here on the arch where the aorta, the body's main artery, exits the heart. This is seen on the X-ray as the rounded area at upper centre. If the aneurysm gives way, it can lead to rapidly fatal internal bleeding. Bones and organs seen include the ribs, lungs, heart, backbone and collar bones.
