Artist's Description

This is one of 195 illustrations in the first book of the adventure/fantasy series titled "The Vine Of Hours." I am the author/illustrator. It is drawn with pen and ink, markers, and color pencil. Asil, Prince Aaron's unique talking pony easily finds his way out of Bumpo Castle on his own, and then straight out of the city of Castle Hill itself altogether. He trots along the winding road that corkscrews around the mountain down to the bumpy and rock strewn flatlands and heads towards the Shitaki forests. Galloping hard he reaches its outskirts in a fraction of an hour and enters it. He slows down in the dark of the forest's night with the rest of the woodland creatures responding to the same irressistable summons of the Leshzwee, the Forest Lord. There is to be a meeting of all the animals, ordinary and extrodinary. Everyone is to meet at the Great Tree, by the Truth Stone. They will hear some things, they are promised, that they will like.
