About James Robert MacMillan
James Robert MacMillan (1918-2008) a native of Denver, and resident of Boulder, Colorado, devoted his life to the study of fine arts for more than 50 years. He exhibited frequently at local art shows, including Colorado State Fairs, Boulder, Colorado Art Association (BAA) shows, and the Colorado Open at the Foothills Art Center. His Colorado family owns a large collection of his award-winning art and is now offering prints of these highly collectible paintings. He often painted outdoors from his French easel on numerous trails in Boulder County, where he lived for more than 30 years. James graduated in Fine Arts from Chouinard Art Institute (now California Institute of the Arts), in Los Angeles, California; later moving to Colorado in...
