At the northern tip of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, are several tiny farming and fishing communities, one of them being Capstick. This lovely place consists of a string of neat country homes scattered along the side road which branches off the world-famous Cabout Trail, the road which encircles the nrothern part of the Island and contains Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The highland hills provide a lovely backdrop of color, as the maples, birches, and other hardwoods change into a blaze of reds, yellows and organge with the coming of the first frosty weather of Fall.

I was initially trained as a Commercial Artist and Illustrator and eventually explored many other methods of art/style as well as other mediums. I work in pencil, ink, acrylics, watercolor and oil pastels. I have also enjoyed mosaic design and application, floor murals, wall murals, collapsible screens, floor cloths, graphic design. Explored sculpture, ceramics, jewelery, hand painted furniture, refinishing old frames with gold leaf or faux finishes, interior design and interior decorating.
