The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

These are rare in our parts but making a comeback - the opportunities to see them involve long trips in the car and there's no guarantee one can get close enough for the capture. THEN you have to make every click count in a few seconds and hope one turns out. Eagles photographed in the wild are nearly impossible and another is the osprey - you have some great shots of both.
