Artist's Description

Wangjianglou Park, located in Chengdu, China, covers an area of 120,000 square meters. It was build in memory of Xue Tao, a poetess of the Tang Dynasty and is famous for several ancient pavilions, all of which are in her memory. Since she was particularly fond of bamboo plants, a grove of more than a hundred different species was laid out in the park, most of which are rare and precious, such as the Bambusa Multiplex and the Bambusa Sinospinosa. This luxuriant forest filled with lush bamboo adds unique beauty to the scenery and provides cool shades during the hot summer months.
