Brilliant artwork....absolutely fantastic...v&f

I love your work!!!

Beautiful work, Patrick ! The poem is intriguing....How did you came across of the name Baba Yaga ? Is it came from Russian folklor ?

And I thank you very much, Nathalie! You are correct; the premise for this piece was inspired by the old Russian folktale, Baba Yaga...with a few added and extravagant embellishments, of course!

How absolutely amazing Patrick! So many fine elements you have in this. The poetry is so charming and the image itself is quirky and has, I would say a rather tongue-in-cheek it. I especially love the beaks , the tiny jesters hat on the little chick, and of course the wheel of the zodiac. It is obvious from this piece of art that your commitment to detail is important. Very original. I love it.

Thank you very much, Lea, for posting such gracious words of praise for my work. This piece is one among many that I intend to include in a published collection of stories & illustrations for both young and old to enjoy.

Excellent work Patrick!

Absolutely fantastic!

Artist's Description

Once upon a time near the edge of the wood, just north of the moon, where a chicken hut stood, there lived an old hag and a haggard old man who together would hatch such a dastardly plan. A dastardly plan with a magical twist, a conjuror's wand and a flick of the wrist, "Add this handsome little Binky to the Queen's suitor's list, and make us Lord and Lady of the land." Though the spell that she cast had a broken-down past, the circus-trained chick found his calling at last. Called to the court of the Indigo King, Binky made his name as the jester with wings. A jester on the wing, just a flightless little thing, though a lionhearted bird with a voice that could soar. A voice that could soar and a heart full of roar... But The Fool came into play on a fateful day in May, when the twisted wheel of fortune spun a tale of sad misfortune; it foretold the chick would be an ingenue.
