Historically informative plus so beautifully composed, this image pleases me very much, Mike. KK :).

This is still another bit of your work that, as usual, is right on top of the pile. Great job. f/v

Love that antique mood ..love that picture, reminds me of my dad's shed ..beautiful work!

Another gorgeous, industrial shot Mike... nice!

Artist's Description

On the left are devices known as draw plates. These devices are used to make a thick rod into a long thinner rod. The rod is forced through progressively smaller and smaller holes until you get what you want. These are meant for a blacksmith primarily. The devices on the right are known in the trade as hammers. Hammers are used to pound things. It was quickly learned that pounding metal with your bare hands, especially hot metal wasn't as effective as using a hammer. Blacksmiths probably have the largest variety of hammers known in the building trades.

About Mike Savad

Mike Savad

For a thousand or more years, my workshop used old methods to create toys. Using my reindeer or rogue elves to power the workshop. It worked for a while until the elves union and animal rights activists got involved. Anyway, I now power everything using steam, there is a lot of smoke at the North pole now, but it all works a lot better than before. Another new thing installed last year is a body cam, reviewing my footage, I noticed a lot of you have blank spaces on your walls that need filling. As they say in my trade, better art on walls means better toys for you. Be sure to join my E-Mail list, I send special promotional deals. All images are Copyrighted 2000-2017 Mike Savad.
