This painting is of Blairs Valley Lake in Blairs Valley, Maryland. It is a man made lake where people swim , fish, and take theirs boats out. It is surrounded by Fairview Mt. on one side and is home to lots of wildlife. When the seasons change there is usually a thick, peaceful mist that covers the lake.
This original painting is framed with a natural solid wood oak frame but would be great as a matted print.

I could very easily have painted this, but I don't think I could have achieved such subjective strength as you have. It reminds me of the very early Symbolist painters in France during the late nineteenth century. A piece like this transcends time. That is a beautiful thing in itself.

A beautiful, peaceful scene, Jessica! Greens are a difficult color to manage and you have used them well. I think Acrylics are difficult too. Keep at it you are doing great!
