...A trio of old canoes,
after the storm
from the night before,
are swamped in lake water.
Morning has broken,
full of light and pretty sun rays
just before dawn.
Night time has barely
loosened it's grasp
as light pours
onto the clear waters
of this reflective lake.
The boathouse is full,
ready for the day,
full of fun times and happy laughter.
For now, the boats sit idle
and the lake unrippled,
the humid air as still
as it can be.
There is utter peacefulness
watching the morning unfold...
