What a gorgeous scene this was. It was a rainy foggy day, and I ran across this scene on a country road that borders and touches the Blue Ridge Parkway. The tall trees, the fog, the split rail fence - the entire atmosphere of this image is a relaxing beauty. It was drizzling at the time this image was taken and I had to use an umbrella to protect the camera. The version that was digitally painted to give it a painting style has become very popular with art appreciators.
