Kathleen, This is a fabulous shot! I love all your street scenes and quirky photos! I love people watching, and that's what I get to do when I come to your page! Thanks for coming to mine as well! Happy May Day, good to see you again! FV

Thanks, James. You are probably right about the flash being too much and her cheeks, too. I wanted it to be very saturated, however. Appreciate your comment and all that! :) kk

KK you're right, not hdr, only saturation and fill flash too much. moment and compo great! v :)

Thanks, steve! Maybe James does not understand about destination weddings. I shall inform everyone here. :)) These wedings take place in my city New Orleans. They are about an hour, and we have a ceremony usually in Jackson Square in the Quarter and then hoof it wherever we want to go. I take minimal equipment and heaven forbid taking a tripod! Not ever! My experience with HDR is photographing using a tripod and a remote to shoot three bracketed shots of the same thing but just different exposures. You cannot even touch the button on your camera---well, I cannot and was trained not to do so when I shot virtual tours for a company... so that is a lot of gear and time consuming, and it just does not go with the fleet of foot and anything goes destination wedding scenario. Maybe James thinks my highlights and shadows are a bit much? I do not know. I do not understand your comment. James, if you want to see the ONE HDR image I have done and put in an FAA gallery, look at Dining at Muriel's in my Architecture, Exteriors, Interiors gallery. :)) Thanks! KK

I really enjoy this image, kk! As for James and his terse and rather rude comment, I would ignore him. From the look of his photography, he is far from qualified to give advice. v/f

Well, maybe this will surprise you, James. I did NO HDR on this. I rarely do any HDR. :)) kk

Too much HDR technique.

Thanks so much, Guy!! :) kk

Fabulous moment captured as the new bride pauses to rest a moment and give off a radiant smile. Excellent! v
