Artist Statement: Born and raised in Collingswood, NJ, I now reside in Montgomery County, PA. With the influence of my mother at an early age, my first experience in painting was using oil paints en plein air. I have painted in the mediums of charcoal, graphite, acrylic, pen and ink, gouache, colored pencils and watercolor respectively. Always having an interest in drawing and painting, I became serious about pursuing an art career in the early 1990Õs. Watercolor workshops and classes became a part of my life for more than a dozen years. Although I throughly enjoy painting outdoors I consider myself a studio painter utilizing photographÕs I have taken and then work from my sketches.
