She was the goddess of all things perceived to be of relatively high dimensions such as high-rising flames, highlands, hill-forts, and upland areas; and of activities and states conceived as psychologically lofty and elevated, such as wisdom, excellence, perfection, high intelligence, poetic eloquence, craftsmanship (especially blacksmithing), healing ability, druidic knowledge and skill in warfare. Thanks for the praise everyone! I find that when I explore a mythic figure, I have to understand it in an abstract form first, before I can do anything representational. I found the whirling energy of the galaxy with all the fiery suns and stars contained within it a perfect analogy for Brigid the goddess of fire, poetry and healing. I used the form the Whirpool galaxy as a jumping off point, but then let the meditations of Brigid guide my hand.
