Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
This is an original oil painting that was inspired by the Las Conchas fire and burn scar that occurred from that fire in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico. I love nature and the Jemez Mountains are a very special and sacred place for me. I remember driving in the beauty of those mountains before this fire and the day we drove up after crying at the devastation and charcoal ash that covered everything. This painting, for me, symbolized the beauty before, scar after and the new growth and beauty presently.
About Jo Anne Neely Gomez
In 1996 I read Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way" and became inspired that MAYBE I could paint. In 1997 I took an oil painting class in Beaumont, California with A. Goodman. I joined the San Gorgonio Pass Artist's Association and Hemet Valley Art Association and won many awards in juried shows with my landscape and seascape paintings. I am a member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. In 2006 my husband and I moved to New Mexico and I joined the Rio Grande Art Association and New Mexico Art League. I took a plein air painting workshop "Enchanted Landscapes" with David W. Mayer April 22-24, 2010 in Albuquerque.
