Artist's Description

This was painted in Taif in Saudi Arabia and was the signature piece in my solo exhibition there. The original watercolour on Arches paper sold, but the image makes a beautiful print.

About Dorothy Boyer

Dorothy Boyer

I am a contemporary realist painter, specializing in watercolours of the Middle East. It is the light of course that is the attraction. I am passionate about recording for posterity the old buildings that are fast disappearing and watercolour is so well suited when depicting the fragility of old plaster, wood or crumbling brick. I often make a number of paintings focusing on a slightly different aspect of the same subject. I do the same with my still life work, but also use oils and pastels to achieve the desired effect. To view my original work and find out more information, do have a look at my other website. www.dorothyboyer.com
