Artist's Description

Canola refers to a cultivar of either Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) or field mustard (Brassica campestris L. or Brassica Rapa var.). Its seeds are used to produce edible oil suitable for consumption by humans and livestock. The oil is also suitable for use as biodiesel. The word rape in rapeseed comes from the Latin word rapum, meaning turnip. Winchester is a city in Lewis County, Idaho, United States. The population was 340 at the 2010 census. The city was named in 1900 during a meeting to establish a school district. While considering the possibilities, an individual looked at the stack of Winchester rifles at the door and suggested the name, which was approved. Colorful Canola fields out in the countryside around Winchester, Idaho. Post-processing in photoshop with a dry brush filter.

As well as being an amateur photographer, I am also an aspiring writer who has had several articles published in a number of different cruising magazines, so I have the added benefit of being able to combine my images with my stories, and submit them for publication. I was born in South...
