Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

This piece was inspired by photos taken in northern France, Brittany. A class of teenagers was sketching in the village while we were visiting. I used my raw edge fusing technique to create this design and a small amount of fabric paints to add fine detail and shading. Many Northcott Stonehenge prints were used achieve the textural effect. This piece received Best Machine Workmanship in the 2013 AQS Show in Grand Rapids.
Over the past few years I have developed this style of art quilting that has been very fulfilling and fun for me. I love being able to create these realistic scenes with fabric with such fine detail that people often think they are photos. Taking photos that will become good designs is also part of the process and has taught me to look at life with a more scrutinizing eye. I have been teaching this technique over the past few years with my students producing wonderful finished art quilts of their own. My work is for sale being an artist, and my workshops are available all over the world.
