Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

This is one of 150 illustrations found throughout the first book of the adventure/fantasy series titled "The Vine Of Hours". I am the author/illustrator. Spanner and his gang of street toughs hang back in the smaller, narrow alleys. These surround, feed off and into the secondary avenues of egress within and around the main market square of the city of Castle Hill. They are predators and thieves of opportunity preying on the shoppers and merchants that people this densly populated, affluent section of the city. They watch the crowds wolf-pack-like looking for a victim. They are never disappointed. Organized and well rehearsed, they strike swiftly and escape immediately by dispersing and disappearing into the crowds. Today is no different. It promises a plump pidgeon waiting to be plucked. They are happy to accomodate.
