Artist's Description
Cattails were a favorite as a child. We used them as bug chasers by lighting the dried cattail and the smoke helped keep mosquitos away. If you dip them in melted wax and allow it to absorb in the fibers you can light the stem and it serves as a candle.
About Michael Peychich
Michael has had a fascination with photography since childhood, however, later in life it has become a more important aspect of his life. He sees photography as a means to bring the beauty of creation to other people. Life is too valuable and precious to him to just let it pass by. Michael and his wife, Suzanne live in Northern Michigan in a log home on their flower and berry farm. Much of his wildlife photography comes off the farm or location close by it.
