The Omni's Grove Park Inn "celebrates the winter night" in Wiles'
latest photography of this Historical landmark hotel located in Asheville, North Carolina. The entrance decorated in winter white lights welcomes one to the January snowfall which blanketed her grounds like a giant quilt spreading beauty and warmth.
This grand, elegant stone hotel was built by Edwin Wiley Grove. He used only four hundred men, wagons, ropes, mules, and granite boulders, (some weighing in at 10,000 pounds) and the hotel was completed in less than one year in 1913.
At her ground breaking ceremony, she was proclaimed by the Secretary of State, "to be built for the ages..."
She is the pride and joy of a traditional North Carolina landmark.
Wiles' "Celebrate the Winter Night" was awarded a red ribbon by the Cape Fear Camera Club in 2016.
