Awesome! Congrats on your sale!!! -Kim

i am amazed at the art work of the trail of tears still makes my heart go out..thank you very much.

Hey John. I was wondering what the medium is that you use for your feathers, is it a digital image of a feather that you took? Then you hand paint the detail on the print of the feather? I am very confused.

A fine work very insightful and colorful expression of a tragedy.

Wunderschöne Idee und Umsetzung.

John, this is so beautiful and touching. Being of Cherokee descent, this image draws me in.

Artist's Description

This painting on an eagle feather, deals with the Cherokee tragedy now called the Trail of Tears. During the winter of 1838 and 1839 sixteen thousand Cherokees were forced on to what would become known as the Trail of Tears, overland to Indian Territory. On the Trail of Tears over 4,000 Cherokees died. We still remember.
