This is a blast from the past! I had a pair exactly like these when I was a child. Terrific nostalgic image Fran.

Wow I had forgotten all about this type of sake!!! This dose bring back some great memories as a child. I remember no one could ever find the skate key!!! Congrats on your sale!!! LF

I had this very pair or one just like them. It was really something to know that they would last forever because all you needed to do was move the screw and the skate would be a size larger. f/v fav

Fran Riley replied:

Yep, they seem like stone age now, lol. Thanks Nancy!

Simple and hours of exhilarating fun...and I was always so scare!! Beautiful memories Francis, love them!!! F/V.

Fran Riley replied:

Indeed! Thank you Clotilde for your comment, vote and fav!

Beautiful image...evokes great memories of countless after-school hours of roller skating with the neighborhood kids on skates just like these. We got to know every square of sidewalk pavement on the block; which ones were slate-smooth and which ones were so rough we could only "run" across to the next smooth area. v/f

Fran Riley replied:

And go around on the grass where it was too broken! Yes, I spent hours on my skates and was SO excited when I got the white, high topped skates! I was on them constantly, even up and down the stairs in the housing complex we lived in, lol. Thank you for your visit and v/f Barbara!

Francis, The tones and details in this are wonderful. What a fabulous image! Thank you for comments about "Autumn Hideaway". Glad you like it. F/V

About Fran Riley

Fran Riley

I enjoy a good book or movie where I can't guess how the story will end. It's unpredictable. That is the same characteristic I see developing in my Art. While I present realistic images through Photography I am most happy when I'm creating something abstract where I don't know how it will end. I love to experiment with creating Art whether it's in the digital world, like my Fractal Art, or physically creating something with my hands like my "Rust" project (see my blog Rust Project) It's usually not predictable nor do I know how it will end - and that's why I enjoy it so much.
